Thea is a graduate of Wayne State University Law School, where she earned her Juris Doctor in May of 2023.

During law school, Thea was a member of the Wayne Law Mock Trial program, serving as a Workshop Coordinator and Student Coach, before being chosen to compete on the prestigious TYLA Mock Trial National Team. She also served as executive chair for the Wayne Law Diversity Coalition. Thea continues to give back to the legal community by volunteering as a judge for mock trial competitions, coaching and mentoring students as they begin their legal careers.

Over the past several years, Thea has gained valuable experience in a wide range of legal areas, including criminal law, and personal injury cases.

Thea’s legal experience also extends beyond the courtroom. Thea served as a Law Clerk for the Senate Finance Committee and has worked on political campaigns, giving her a unique perspective on both the legal and legislative processes.
